To celebrate the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, the New York Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold the annual "Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day" event on April 26. On that day, 54 streets will be temporarily closed for pedestrians, bicycles and public events only, aiming to encourage green travel and pay attention to climate change. During the event, many blocks will feature temporary art installations, music performances and community activities. DOT specially invited local New York artists such as Ishita Jain and Caitlin Keegan to create environmentally themed public art. In addition, Citi Bike also provides a limited-time free ride service, and you can enjoy unlimited 30 minutes of free rides on classic bicycles within 24 hours. This is a rare opportunity to turn the originally congested streets into a pedestrian paradise, stroll the city with friends, check in street art, enjoy outdoor music, and start environmentally friendly travel with you and me.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a stunning art hall with a rich collection of art to linger. Standing in the Egyptian Pavilion and watching the fully restored Danyu Temple is enough to marvel at the exquisiteness of ancient craftsmanship. In the European Painting Pavilion, Van Gogh&#39;s &quot;Rye and Cypress&quot; and Monet&#39;s &quot;Waterlily&quot; are near, and each one is full of vitality. The armor and weapons exhibition hall is like entering the world of medieval knights, those finely carved armor seems to still tell the story of the battlefield. Even after a whole day of shopping, I feel that there is not enough time. Every time I enter a hall, I can find new surprises and I am reluctant to leave.
