I heard that the White House has not been open to the public since 9/11. When we went there, we could only watch it from a distance outside the fence, so the White House became a boring landmark. We took a tourist check-in photo to end our visit.

There is a big pine tree on the south side of the White House. I didn&rsquo;t expect it to be a &quot;landmark&quot; as well, the &quot;National Christmas Tree&quot;... Well, it seems that we should choose to visit during Christmas.

The Washington Monument Under the Night Sky

As night falls, the Washington Monument, like a silver sword, pierces the Washington, D.C. night sky. Shedding the daytime hustle and bustle, this pure white obelisk loses some of its solemnity and gains a more tranquil and profound air.

Warm yellow lights slowly spread upwards from the base of the monument, clearly and softly outlining the texture of the granite, gazing at the stars in the clear night sky. The monument stands upright, its solitary height accentuated by the surrounding lawn, like a silent guardian of history.

A gentle evening breeze stirs the shadows of the trees on the lawn, and the light and shadow flow across the monument, adding a touch of dynamism. In the distance, the dome of the Capitol Building and the outline of the Jefferson Memorial are faintly visible, together with the monument, outlining the city&#39;s unique skyline in the night.

Without the throngs of tourists during the day, the monument at this moment is more conducive to quiet contemplation. It has witnessed more than two hundred years of changes in the United States, standing quietly under the night sky, perfectly blending the weight of history with the gentleness of the night, silently telling the story of the long years.

National Mall

The National Mall is a must-check-in place for Washington tourism. One is the Lincoln Memorial and the other is the Washington Monument. There is a pool of water between them and green spaces on both sides. There are monuments such as the Victory Memorial of World War II, the Vietnam War and other monuments, and the Jefferson Memorial. The beautiful cherry blossoms of the annual Washington Cherry Blossom Festival are also in full bloom around this area. We arrived in Washington at the end of April.
