It is the largest, most complete, and best-preserved Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhist temple in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is known as the &quot;First Temple of the Northern Grasslands&quot; and the &quot;Little Potala Palace on the Grasslands.&quot; The scenic area is built against the mountainside in a typical Tibetan style.
