Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present “ongoin’,” a solo exhibition of new work by Nari Ward, in Seoul, from August 28 to October 19, 2024. This is Ward’s second exhibition in Seoul and features works on copper, sculpture, and wall installations that engage with aspects of healing and care that shape local communities, particularly in Harlem, the artist’s longtime residence in New York. Additionally, “ongoin’” explores the artist’s dedication to artistic interpretations of spiritual rituals and ceremonies, probing the fragmented images and invisible forces often associated with such practices. 
Ward is known for his sculptural wall and installation works created from materials often found and collected in Harlem. The artist combines these materials and reinterprets their original meanings, creating collages that confront complex social and political realities (often around race, immigration, democracy, and community) through the juxtaposition of literal and metaphorical. Ward's work is materially explicit, yet intentionally ambiguous in meaning, encouraging viewers to explore a variety of possible interpretations.

Seoul Tower. Btw if you ask Koreans about Seoul Tower. They&rsquo;ll look clueless. The term is coined for foreigners, They called it namsan tower. Worth the visit. Make sure you get love locks. Gimmick? Yes will you wife or girlfriend love it? Absolutely. Happy wife happy life. Don&rsquo;t take my word for it take the view of a couple of thousand locks up there as witness. Well if you pissed your wife or gf off, bring them here and they&rsquo;ll probably forgive you.

Very loving!! The park is always filled with happy music, and the roller coasters are not particularly scary. Mainly to see the Bao family, there are many Bao family elements, it is worth checking in.

you can climb up on foot in about 1.5 - 2 hours, from the side of Myeongdong there is a nice village, which is worth a walk. If you have a hard time climbing, it is better to use the funicular. Also, there are almost no kiosks selling water along the way

The night view is very beautiful at night, and there are not too many people at night. I also took a small cable car (the cable car and the hiking area are not together, so you have to walk a little bit away, but it&rsquo;s not difficult to find, just follow the navigation), and it&rsquo;s pretty good to walk around at night and take a walk after dinner.
