The story is divided into a prologue and six main chapters, telling various bizarre stories and legends of China since Pangu created the world, namely, Heaven's Gift to China, Ancestral Tribe, Phoenix Nirvana, Eight Immortals Congratulations, Eastward Journey to Seek Immortality, Dragon Soaring, and Heaven Blessing China. Houyi's perseverance in shooting the sun, the beauty of Chang'e flying to the moon, the magnificence of mountain torrents and volcanic eruptions when Dayu controlled the floods, the rippling blue waves and flowing water of the Utopia, the grand momentum of dragons and tigers leaping, and the prosperity in front of the Taiping Zen Temple.
