In 2023, an estimated 1200 people tragically took their own lives in Hong Kong, shedding light on the pressing issue of suicide. The Verbatim Theatre performance, titled '1200', delves into the complexities surrounding suicide, exploring the reasons behind such decisions and the profound impact on individuals and their communities. Hosted by Li Po Chun United World College (LPCUWC), an esteemed international boarding school in Hong Kong, this event is part of the institution's commitment to nurturing future global leaders dedicated to peace and sustainability.

During the annual 'Project Week', 256 students from diverse backgrounds collaborate to create a powerful theatrical production based on real-life accounts of those affected by suicide. By amplifying the voices of the unheard, LPCUWC's Verbatim Theatre initiative aims to spark personal and societal transformation. Grateful for the support of Samaritans Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Prevention, this event serves as a platform for reflection, dialogue, and advocacy on this critical issue.

The park is not big, but it is fun to play. We played Winnie the Pooh&#39;s Adventure and Seven Continents twice. The roller coaster was too short, only 1 minute. The main fun was brought by the cute dolls in each store, and it was fun to take pictures.

We had a good time with family. The place is pretty well maintained and spacious. The terrain is hilly and can be steep for the older folks. The rides are all inclusive and no extra charges are required, eg cable car rides and express train. Food can be a tad expensive. Otherwise, it is a good place to spend the day.

I was a bit skeptical about taking the Peak Tram, however, I really enjoyed the ride. The scenery going up the hill is fascinating, and going on a Tuesday afternoon in June I did not find any queue or crowd. It was a sunny and clear day and the view from both the tram and the Sky Terrace was amazing. The fact that there are two shopping areas with restaurants makes the experience even more convenient, also to have a break from the outside heat. I think it is a must see for first timers in HK like me.

A great place to take your kids out! There are seven floors, and each floor is filled with countless surprises. Take your kids to the exhibition in an immersive way, and the day will pass by before you know it. Here, your children can get close to history and feel the charm of traditional culture, which is more useful than taking any history class! Highly recommended to all parents!
