The US Chess Rated Chess Tournament in Hershey is set to take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Hershey Public Library located at 701 Cocoa Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033. Participants can choose between the Open (all ages) and Scholastic Quads formats. In the Quads section, each player competes in four-player groups, playing a game against every other participant in the quad. Registration is available online for $15 until Friday, May 10th; on-site registration will be $20 on the day of the event from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. It is essential for players to register in advance or arrive no later than 10:30 AM on the day of the tournament to secure a spot, as entries are limited to the first 40 players. The time control for the games will be G/40; d/5, with each player having 40 minutes to make their moves and a 5-second delay per move.
