Come on a minibeast hunting adventure using magnifiers and brushes and see what you can discover. The rangers will help you identify all manner of beautiful jumping, flying and crawling minibeasts found in the long grass, trees and bushes! This is a family event however all children taking part must have a ticket. Please be aware that the terrain is uneven so may be difficult for pushchair access. All attending children must be supervised by an adult. Wear old clothes as you may get dirty.
A ranger will meet you outside the Visitors centre to register you.

Ratios: We require the following adult to child ratios, 1 adult to 3 children (Under 5’s will need more supervision on some activities)
Can I bring younger siblings?
Younger siblings i.e. toddlers/babies are welcome at the events. However please check the minimum age requirements of the activity, as they will not be permitted to join in the activity session if they are too young. Tickets are required for children attending only
What should the children wear?
Activities involve going outside, children need to be suitably dressed for all weathers (mosquitos and horseflies will be about in the summer). Remember to bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent.
What happens if there is a weather warning?
We may have to alter your outside activity if there is a weather warning in place, but we will do our utmost to carry on with mitigations in place or provide an indoor activity (if possible). If we cancel your event due to extreme weather, we will offer you an alternative date for the event or provide you with a refund.
Can I bring snacks and drinks?
Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drink, however we don’t advise eating during the events as some activities require hand washing on return after the activity.

Cancellation by you
You may cancel your booking via Eventbrite at any time. You will be entitled to a full refund (minus Eventbrite’s booking fees) up to 1 day before your activity.
Refunded tickets: Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consist of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won’t be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is cancelled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase.

Join us to build your own dens in our woodland area, tie up hammocks to relax in and learn some new knot skills to remember for future outdoor adventures. This is an outdoor event and suitable clothing should be worn (i.e old clothes). All attending children must be accompanied by an adult (18+) with a ratio of at least 1 adult to 3 children. This event is suitable for children aged 5+ and all participating children must have a ticket.

Join our rangers in the Pole barn to create your own summer mobile out of natural foraged materials and assorted art supplies. Decorate a pre-made willow ring with lots of summery colours and natural resources we can find at this time of year. This event is suitable for children aged 5+. Join us to create your very own pop bottle rocket made from a recycled pop bottle! Create your rocket, design it and later launch it into the sky to see how far it will go! This event is for children aged 5+. All attending children must have tickets and adult supervision is required throughout.

Join us in our woodland areas where we will create leafy art in a variety of ways. We will master the art of bark and tree rubbings, create leaf crowns, nature rainbow cards and more. This is a family event so all are welcome, however children under the age of 5 will require more assistance and supervision. Please wear old clothes as we may get messy when collecting our natural materials.

Ever wondered what lurks beneath the water in pond dipping pool? How many different beasties can we find? Will anyone be lucky enough to catch a fish or water boatman?! Learn about and look for beetles, nymphs, water scorpions and other pond life. This activity is suitable for children age 5+ years. Wear old clothes, you might get a bit dirty!
All attending children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the visitors centre
Please be aware that this event will be running to coincide with Kingsbury Water Park's 50th anniversary so there will be other activities ongoing around us. Tickets for pond dipping will also be made available through the Visitor's centre throughout the day!

What should I wear?
Activities involve going outside, please make sure your suitably dressed for all weathers (mosquitos and horseflies will be about in the summer). Remember to bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent.
What happens if there is a weather warning?
We may have to alter your outside activity if there is a weather warning in place, but we will do our utmost to carry on with mitigations in place or provide an indoor activity (if possible). If we cancel your event due to extreme weather, we will offer you an alternative date for the event or provide you with a refund.
Can I bring snacks and drinks?
Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drink, however we don’t advise eating during the events as some activities require hand washing on return after the activity.
Where do we meet?
Your ranger will meet you outside the Visitor Centre.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Car parking is payable at the machine by card. The machines do not take apple pay
What is the age requirement for children’s events?
Our children's events events are aimed at 3-12yr olds, unless specified in the event description. Children under 5 will need more supervision undertaking some of the activities.
Do adults have to stay on children's events?
All children on children's event must be accompanied by an adult or over 18.
How many adults do I need to bring on children's events?
Ratios: We require the following adult to child ratios, 1 adult to 3 children (Under 5’s will need more supervision on some activities)
Can I bring younger siblings to a children's event?
Younger children are not permitted on this event due to safety.

How to make payment
Payment is taken on Eventbrite at the time of booking
Cancellation by you
You may cancel your booking via Eventbrite at any time. You will be entitled to a full refund (minus Eventbrite’s booking fees) up to 1 day before your activity.
Refunded tickets: Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consist of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won’t be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is cancelled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase.
Refunds for non-attendance by customers at events are not accepted

Cancelled and postponed events by us
(a) We reserve the right to cancel your event at any time due to events beyond our control (such as bad weather or staff shortages). In the unlikely event that we cancel your booking, we will offer an alternative date or provide you with a full refund (unless the reason for the cancellation is due to your breach of these terms & conditions) refunds will be for the entire purchase – that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.
(b) We will not be liable to pay you any compensation (other than refund of amounts paid by you) as a result of cancellation under any circumstances.
Safety and behaviour
(a) You are responsible for the children’s behaviour and safety at all times during the event.
(b) You are responsible for ensuring that the adult to child ratios
are met. If you do not bring enough adult helpers, we reserve the right to stop the activity and you will not be entitled to a refund.

(c) If we reasonably believe that anyone’s safety is being compromised during the event, we may stop the activity. If this happens, we will not refund any of the cost of the activity to you (unless the safety issue has arisen due to something that we have done or failed to do).
Parking and closure of the park
(a) Your booking does not include car parking, you will need to pay and display.
(b) Our parking machines take card payment only, they do not take apple pay or payment via mobile phones.
(c) Please look on the web site for opening and closing times of the park.
Changes to your booking
(a) You may not transfer your booking to another person

If you have a complaint about your booking or the services provided by us, please contact us in the first instance (contact details above). If we are unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, we have a complaints handling process which is available on our website at: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/councilcomplaints.
