Recently completed a couch to 5k? Struggling to keep running? Returning from injury? Want to meet other local women? If you’re looking for your running motivation, why not join Figges Marsh women-only social run, every Friday, from 8:10-9am? Part of Merton Women Run and led by local resident Emily Fleuriot (UK Athletics LiRF) we’re a free, friendly social running session designed for women who’ve recently started running, and want to get fitter, build their confidence and get to know other local women, in a group setting. We run approximately 4-5km, at the pace of a 40 minute 5km. This is about 7:30-8:00 min/km, or 12-14 min/miles. However, this is a no-drop run: No person is left behind, and we can adjust the pace as we go! Arrive 8:10am for gentle movement prep. We set off around 8:15am, returning 8:55am for cool down stretch. Kindly supported by NEMCA. We meet in NEMCA car park, and have access to their building and facilities if needed. This includes an accessible toilet. We also have access to a toilet in Lavender Pavilion, adjacent to Figges Marsh, if needed.
