Welcome to the Goonhammer Open MD Necromunday Weekender 2025! Battle in the wastes and underhives of the beseiged planet of Varona in the GHO MD 2025 Necromunday Narrative Weekender. We will play around 6 games across two days - maybe more or less depending on the group's appetite for mega-battles and gang raids. Last year, Weekender attendees killed a Warhound Titan with a Cargo-8 to the face. Who knows what will happen this year! We will be running a streamlined Escalation Campaign. Plan for 1000 points base plus 400 points for vehicles and wargear that gives the mounted condition. Gangs will regularly gain a chunk of change between games, so bring some extra dudes! All programs run Monday, July 7th - Friday, July 11th MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM: For Rising 6th-8th Graders Schedule: Drop off begins at 8:30 am, Sructured Activities at 9:00am Pick up Begins at 4:45pm, All students must be picked up by 5:00pm Middle School Program Description: We invite rising 6th-8th graders to spend one week discovering the joys of creative writing. We'll start to hone their skills by teaching them how to read like a writer, work through creative writing prompts, and learn some of the defining features of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. They'll work and play in small group writing workshops, working directly with Stevenson University’s creative writing faculty. When the weather allows, they'll also get to explore some of our easy on campus hiking trails, and no hike is complete without a journal and some creative ideas. Students will self-select work to be published in the program's literary magazine, and have the opportunity to perform their work or share their ideas with family and friends at the Showcase Event Friday afternoon. Our Creative Bridge program is specially designed for seniors who have graduated high school and who are looking to prepare themselves for their creative future, be that the rigor of college writing or pursuing publication. The program is individualized to the students' needs and goals. In this program, students work one on one with a specially selected faculty mentor to craft an individualized program to help improve their craft, prepare them for college level writing, and define their creative goals. Topics covered are based on an initial meeting with the student where the Mentor prepares topics, exercises, and homework based on the students' goals and interests. The student will meet with their mentor for at least one hour each day and additionally spend 30-60 minutes each day on focused writing or research in the Stevenson Library. At the end of the program, the student is invited to present some of their work in the Stevenson Summer Writers' Workshop Showcase. They are also welcome to publish in literary magazine. The Mentor assigns prompts, work, or goals for the student to complete between sessions. The mentor may share with student information about their own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling. This includes, help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, conducting proper research, improving craft, and/or identifying resources. The student and mentor will have access to all of the materials available through the Stevenson Library. Tuition: Covers 1-2 weeks of meetings for a total of 5 hours of one on one mentoring per week. Students additionally are granted access to all of Stevenson University's library resources. 3 Week Birth Class Series -July 10, 17, 24, 2025 430p-730p This program is designed for the expectant mother and her partner to prepare for the birth experience. Class includes information about the birth process, comfort measures, pain control and birth technologies such as induction, augmentation and cesarean birth. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Canvasing the nature of our Youth|Teens into the image of God . Our gatherings are tools we use to promote Godly values and instilling self-worth and developing of character to girls between 10-17. Their Parents or Guardians are provided with their own private workshop to help them develop self-care and coping skills. The Parents | Guardian must accompany the youth and be over 21 years old. Our youth girls are becoming fireproof to handle lifes challenging and scortching moments. We want them to become resilent. We will enjoy succulent sandwiches and pettifors, decadent desserts, and tea of course. We will engage in interactive workshops and be taught on etiquette and encouraged by two invited presenters. Our parents will engage in a separate workshop with their own presenter. They will also get the opportunityt to win a gift basket. So make sure you are inthe house.
