Welcome to the Members Only - Introduction to Wet Felting a Vessel workshop with Carol Vesper, hosted by The Makers Studio Central Coast Inc. This is a great opportunity to learn the art of wet felting and create your own beautiful vessel. The workshop will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10am to 4pm at Building 3 Lions Community Hall, located at 8 Russell Drysdale St, East Gosford. Please enter through the rear of the building. During the workshop, Carol will provide all the necessary materials, including wool for felting, a water container, bubble wrap, a resist to make a round bowl, and soap. Participants are advised to bring an art journal for note taking and wear closed-in shoes for safety reasons. It is also recommended to wear old clothes as the process can be wet. The day will begin with a lesson on creating a piece of flat felt, followed by the opportunity to make a round bowl. This introductory course will open the doors to various possibilities, such as creating hats, clothes, shoes, sculptures, and pictures with felt.
