Sakura Citizen Fireworks Festival | Sakura
Oct 25, 2025 (UTC+9)
Sakura
Four super-large 2-shakudama fireworks will be launched at an altitude of 500 meters. The highly acclaimed large-scale Starmine fireworks will also appear again. Accompanied by the beat of music, more than 8,000 fireworks will bloom continuously in about 10 minutes, forming a spectacular sea of stars across the night sky. In addition, in 2024, to celebrate the 70th anniversary, the conference specially launched 20,000 fireworks and 70 shakudama-shaped fireworks, which are also worth looking forward to in 2025. One of the highlights of the Sakura Citizens Fireworks Festival is the unique experience provided by the S venue (Sakura Furusato Square), where you can watch the hand tube fireworks that are rarely seen in Chiba Prefecture up close. Hand tube fireworks are a traditional art of spraying flames from a bamboo tube. The performer holds it under his armpit and ignites it, instantly spraying out flames more than ten meters high. The flames illuminate the whole body, as if dancing with the flames. The hot flames cut through the night sky, bringing a shocking visual impact. It is an excellent interpretation of the brave dancing with the flames. This fireworks festival is not only a stunning visual feast, but also a perfect fusion of Japanese traditional culture and modern creativity, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of Sakura in the interweaving of fire.
