This year's light festival is themed "Vibrant Bay Area·New Guangzhou", adopting a "1+2" ​​model of a new central axis main venue and two sub-venues. The new central axis main venue includes Huacheng Square, Haixinsha Asian Games Park and Guangzhou Tower, and the two sub-venues are the one-side and two-side venues of the river and the Huangpu District. Among them, the one-side and two-side venue includes the facades of 24 buildings on Yanjiang Road, Liede Bridge, Haixin Bridge, and the facade of Pazhou West District. The central stage of the Huangpu District venue is located in the Science Square of Science City. 
This year's light festival has collected nearly 50 groups of domestic and foreign designers' works, striving to create a light and shadow visual feast shared by the world. On the evening of the opening ceremony, the dynamic lighting installation works located in the South Square of Huacheng Square will jointly present a 360° circular light show with the Guangzhou Tower for the first time. At that time, there will be several Pearl River cruise ships appearing in formation to interact with the light works of Huacheng Square. Citizens and tourists can enjoy the light and shadow performances of land and water from multiple angles on the shore or on other cruise ships, and feel the charm and charm of the night view of the Pearl River. The lighting design works of the Huangpu District branch venue are themed "Science and Technology Innovation Huangpu·Light Painting the Future". At that time, the Science Square will stage a 360-degree water dance light show around the lake, and citizens and tourists will feel the technological strength of "Smart Huangpu" through the performance of sound, light and electricity technology. 
This Light Festival also explores the combination of lighting and AI technology. A giant light and shadow immersive experience space is set up on site, covering the future city's clothing, food, housing, transportation and other aspects. Through AIGC, visual arts, light and shadow interaction and other methods, the audience can experience life under the development of artificial intelligence. 
In addition, this light festival will also present more than 30 light performances. Visitors will not only be able to see clown acrobatics, puppet interactions, and the "Light Dance Messenger" parade performances that integrate light art installations, but also enjoy multiple interactive works. The site will also display a water light and music stage that integrates Cantonese music and light art, presenting a beautiful picture of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area moving forward and building and prospering together through creative light and shadow performances. 
The upcoming 15th National Games has also become one of the themes of this year's light festival. As an important display platform and communication channel for the city's image, some light works will use lasers to interact with citizens and tourists through virtual sports competitions, conveying their attention and expectations for the 15th National Games.
