The NCCCS Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) Association is delighted to announce the upcoming 12th annual statewide conference, taking place on February 16-17, 2024. Hosted at the prestigious North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, this event serves as a platform for educators and administrators in the fields of music, theater, visual arts, and art history to come together, exchange ideas, and engage in informative workshops and panel discussions.

The theme of this year's conference is "The Pulse of the Arts," with a focus on interdisciplinary issues in arts pedagogy, student success, workforce development, and forging partnerships within the arts community. Strengthening the ties between the NC Community College system, the UNC system, and NC Independent Colleges and Universities is also a key objective.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore contemporary issues in the arts while benefiting from the North Carolina Museum of Art's rich offerings. Founded with the aim of fostering articulation agreements among members of the NC Community College System, the University of North Carolina System, and NC Independent Colleges and Universities, the NCCCS AFA Association strives to create opportunities for students pursuing careers in the arts.

Join us at the 2024 NCCCS Associates in Fine Arts Association Conference for a two-day program packed with thought-provoking sessions, a keynote address from a distinguished speaker (to be announced), a panel discussion featuring Women Leaders in the Arts, various workshops, break-out sessions, and roundtable discussions. The registration fee, priced at $85, primarily covers the keynote speaker fees and conference production. Tickets will be available for purchase starting on October 16 at 12:00 AM.
