ʻŌlelo’s Youth Storytellers Summer Program is a two-week immersive experience designed for youth ages 14–18 who are interested in digital storytelling, video production, and creative expression. This program blends hands-on media training with mentorship and fun, culminating in a student showcase.
Dates: July 14–25, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Drop-Off / Pick-Up: Drop-off no earlier than 8:30 AM; Pick-up no later than 2:30 PM
Location: ʻŌlelo Community Media – 1122 Māpunapuna Street, Honolulu, HI
Audience: Teens ages 14–18
Tuition: $750 (includes lunch)
Program Includes:
Training in storyboarding, filming, editing, and media distribution
Final showcase screening party on July 25
Student-produced videos aired on ʻŌlelo TV and online
Certificate of Completion + ʻŌlelo Producer Certification

The whole family accompanied my parents to Hawaii, and Pearl Harbor was of course an important part of the tour. As a key visiting project of Pearl Harbor, you must set aside more than 2 hours. The lower level is where naval officers and soldiers live and work, the deck focuses on the site where Japan surrendered during World War II, and the upper level has a combat command room.
