Hailing from Southern Ontario, Katie Longboat is of both Cree and Mohawk descent, with family connections in Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. Her beadwork is a testament to her exceptional skill and creative vision, incorporating intricate designs, contemporary materials, and vibrant colors to craft one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces and beaded artwork.
Drawing inspiration from her rich heritage and the natural world, Katie's creations beautifully blend the traditional beadwork styles of both the Cree and Mohawk cultures. She currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, and her work has garnered widespread acclaim.
