This month we're doing something HUGE! A showcase stand up comedy show featuring Pro Comedians inside of a scary venue! All for the spooky spirit of Halloween!

Free social games, facilitated by youth workers. For grade 6s - year 12s, all skill levels welcome. Beginners welcome! WHERE: Glenroy Central Primary School outdoor soccer pitch. All non- Glenroy Central primary students to meet Merri-bek Youth staff outside the Glenroy College Gym. WHAT TO BRING: Clothes that you feel comfortable exercising in, a towel and a water bottle. Make vibrant botanical cyanotype photograms. A cyanotype is created using a slow reacting photographic printmaking process. Celebrating its 32nd year, Artwaves 2024 is an annual art exhibition of work sourced from the talented high school students in the Logan region. Selected by visual arts teachers in conjunction with gallery staff, Artwaves aims to demonstrate the wealth of imagination and creativity present in the city of Logan and adjacent areas secondary schools. Mayor Jon Raven and Councillors of the City of Logan invite you to the opening of Artwaves 2024: Logan and adjacent areas secondary schools art exhibition on Friday 4 October at 6 pm. Exhibition to be opened by Dr. Jacqueline Scotcher, Visual Artist Music performances from local secondary school musicians.
Light refreshments will be served. Exhibition on display from 14 September until 19 October 2024. Free event – bookings recommended. Get ready for a night full of fun and laughter at your local, the Logan City Tavern The night will feature a New Comedian Competition plus a handful of comedians from the Brisbane/Gold Coast comedy scene It's a showcase of talent. Lots of variety and fun for all Your host for the night is James O'Connell

He's done regional comedy tours in North QLD, Western QLD, Northern NSW as well as shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Peak Crossing, Beaudesert, Harrisville, Forest Hill, Chinchilla, Nanango and Warwick The New Comedian Competition will see 3 new comedians going head-to-head in a competition to start their comedy careers with the opportunity to do gigs in venues around Brisbane and do regional tours Have you ever wanted to try stand-up comedy or do you know someone who does?
All you need is 3 minutes of material (contestants will do 3 to 5 minutes)
