The San Sebastián International Film Festival is a long-established international film festival in Spain, often referred to as the "Queen of Spanish International Film Festivals," and is one of the top-tier international film festivals. Its highest award is the Golden Shell. The 74th festival was held from September 18th to 26th. This festival is one of Spain's most prestigious and internationally renowned film festivals, attracting numerous prominent figures in the film industry, including actors and directors, who showcase their works, creating a star-studded and international atmosphere. In addition to the awards presented in various sections, since 1986, the festival has also established the Donostia Award to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the film industry throughout their careers.

Every year during the first week of September, the Basque Country hosts a week-long local cultural event known as "Euskal Jaiak" (Basque Festival). In cities and villages, locals participate in traditional sporting events and perform Basque folk songs and dances. Numerous markets lining the streets offer a variety of delicious food, and visitors can sample fresh produce from nearby farms.
