Featured Events in Saffron Walden in November 2024 (June Updated)

Meet us at the Railway Arms, Saffron Walden from 9am for some pre-ride refresments before heading out into the lanes of essex. Riders should be prepared for a full day of cycling on tarmac, with plenty of opportunities for rest stops and refreshments along the way on this 100km route. Rolling out past the beautiful town of Thaxted, you'll then experience some grass-up-the-middle back lanes out of Bardfield. Take in the delights of the Flitch at The Booking Hall Café, then roll down the road to Littley Green for an optional lunch at the famous Compasses Pub (home of the Essex Huffer). Next, we'll be heading through Pleshey, The Easters, and the Rodings. A quick photo op at everyone's favorite Essex escape route—the runway at Stansted. We then head north and pick up the hills in the villages leading back to The Railway Arms, who serve some of the best beer in Essex!
