R ules/Game Play: A team shall consist of 8 players with 2 spareThe playing team (of 8 players) must consist of a minimum of 2 children from each gender Each game shall consist of 2 innings - each team batting once. The team batting first to be decided by coin toss An innings consists of 1 turn per batsman Total number of runs scored decides the outcome of the game, highest score wins Only completed runs count towards the batting teams total. A completed run is half a circuit around the stumps Fielders must not move nor obstruct the balls until the third ball is hit - except to avoid injury. A 1 run penalty will be added to the batter’s score for each fielder that moves or deliberately obstructs a ball before the 3rd ball is struck. It is encouraged that the scorers give the fielders a reminder for the first discrepancy. Running ceases once all items have been replaced, as per the start of the batters turn and all fielders return behind the fielding line. Spot, Tee, Cone, Ball must be replaced .Teams will score 3 points for win, 2 for a tie, and 1 for a loss in the group stages.In the play-off stage in the event of a tie the winner will be decided by a sudden death play-off. Whereby one batter from each team will have a further go in turn. The highest run scorer will decide the game. This shall continue until there is a clear winner. Hundreds of cyclists are invited to participate in the Mass rides for A26 cycleways event, demanding a dedicated cycleway between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. The mass rides will take place on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 6:30 pm. Two groups will convene at different locations - one group in Tunbridge Wells, cycling from the Millennium Clock to Southborough Common, and the other group in Tonbridge (route to be confirmed). The event will feature a brief update on the campaign's progress and is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. The mass cycles aim to showcase a vision of safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly travel for the community. No player, other than the taker, shall be within 5m of the ball until it is played.A penalty corner shall be awarded for any one of the following reasons: - If the penalty corner breaks down normal play should resume. A defending player accidentally committing an offence inside the circle. - A defending player deliberately playing the ball over their own back-line from anywhere on the pitch. - A defending player committing a deliberate offence in the shooting circle that does not prevent a probable or actual goalPenalty corners are taken on the back-line on a marker that is 4m from the edge of the circle. Players can choose which side of the goal to take it from.The ball can be hit or pushed however a self-pass is not permitted.The taker must have at least one foot off the pitch (behind the back-line).No more than three attacking players must be outside the shooting circle, the two other members of the attacking team must be on the halfway line.Two defenders should position themselves in the goal and move when the ball has been played. The event, designed for children from Year 3 and Year 4, aims to engage pupils in a non-competitive environment. The festival will feature a carousel of activities where participants will rotate around different stations, spending 8-10 minutes at each to practice various skills and challenges. The festival is open to 10 schools from Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, with teams consisting of 8 children from Y3 and Y4, including both genders. Children with PP, SEND, or those who are less active are targeted for participation. Parents are welcome as spectators but are advised not to use the main school entrance for drop-offs. Participants are encouraged to bring labeled Tri-Golf clubs if available. Teams must submit a team sheet before the event to ensure compliance with the targeted participant criteria.
