Women's Snowshoes & Brews Adventure Hikes! | Trails in the mountains!

We are chasing the powder! Our snowshoe adventure will take us to a trail either on a Jeffco open space park (Evergreen/Conifer/Golden) OR somewhere along highway 285 Between Bailey-Kenosha pass. Final destinations TBD depending on snow and avalanche conditions. Snowshoeing can be a fun new way to explore your world and a great hobby to keep you active throughout the winter. No matter where we go plan on a 2-3 hour hike with some elevation gain and gorgeous scenery and views (we can't go wrong, it's Colorado)! Join us after the hike for lunch and brews at a local brewery. Support local and check out some of the shops and businesses in the area, including the famous Sasquatch museum! For those renting we will be showcasing the new Crescent Moon (local company) and TSL snowshoes. Discounts will be available for those interested in purchasing your own pair after the hike! Fee includes: - Snowshoe rentals (if you need them) - Pre-hike clinic and packing checklist - Digital photo album -Guided hike with knowledgeable leader *Resources include: - Info on what type of snowshoes you need (size, fit and for different types of terrain) - What to wear/pack (checklist prior to hike) - How to prepare for hiking at high altitude - Recommendations for the best places to go on your own Fri-yay hikes: Have a flexible schedule and/or Fridays off work? Avoid the traffic and crowds and kick off your weekend with a Fri-YAY adventure! Your guides: Our leaders have years of backcountry winter hiking and mountaineering experience and are certified in Wilderness First Aid and Avalanche Awareness/safety and rescue Each hike will have 1-2 trailblazers, women who have experience snowshoeing who will help set different pace groups to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all levels! Indigenous Kids Learn to Play Hockey This FREE 6 week event is for Wolastoqey kids who are interested in trying hockey for the first time. Our experienced coaches and volunteers will be there to guide the kids through the basics of skating and simple drills. This program is FREE with equipment provided with the exception of skates. Open to Wolastoqey youth aged 4-12.
