It is crucial to continuously sharpen one's CQB abilities, and this event provides the perfect platform to do so. Participants will have the privilege of training alongside the esteemed 4RT Instructor team, known for their expertise in CQB tactics. Under their guidance, attendees will engage in various drills, stress-based scenario training, as well as force-on-force exercises. To make the most out of this workshop, attendees are required to bring essential equipment such as water, a notebook with a pen, a complete kit, a pistol, a long gun, a battle belt, boots, gloves, and, if available, body armor. This exciting event combines a fun run with a celebration of local craft beer. Participants can run, walk, or jog the 5k-ish course, which starts and ends at the Wibby Brewing taproom. After completing the course, runners will be rewarded with a complimentary craft brew from Wibby Brewing. Dressing up in your best Oktoberfest costumes/outfits is encouraged, as there will be prizes for the most creative outfits. In addition to the run, there will be live music, a stein hoisting competition, food trucks, local vendors, giveaways, and more. The Colorado Brewery Running Series is dedicated to promoting an active lifestyle while also giving back to the community. With over $120,000 donated to Colorado non-profits since 2016, this event will continue to support local organizations. Registration is limited, so sign up today to secure your spot. Experience the art of life drawing at the Firehouse Art Center in Longmont with Art of Modeling. Join us on the 4th Sunday of every month from 6pm to 9pm for a socially distanced figure drawing session. This event is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Each session features a long pose, allowing artists to fully immerse themselves in their craft. Wet media is permitted, but artists must clean up their area afterwards. If you plan to bring 3D materials, please contact the host in advance and ensure the necessary protective measures are taken. While the Firehouse provides chairs and tables, artists are encouraged to bring their own easels and supplies. Please note that this is an open-studio format and not an instructor-led class. It is an opportunity for artists to practice their skills and explore their own unique style. To ensure the session proceeds as planned, a minimum of four registered artists is required 24 hours prior to the class. It is important that all artists clean their designated area after class to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Please remember to bring your own separate table or easel for social distancing purposes. Space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot for the 4th Sunday Long Pose session from 6pm to 9pm. During the event, you'll have the opportunity to play with clay and meet fellow clay enthusiasts. Demos will be provided for beginners, but feel free to work on your own projects as well. The class fee is only $15, which covers the cost of clay and bisque firing for your pieces. Once your work is bisque fired, you can take it home to paint or bring it to the next Play with Clay night to glaze it.
