Artist Colette Fu is a talented paper engineer and photographer who combines her passions to create extraordinary pop-up books and art pieces. Currently, she is in residency at BIMA, located in Bainbridge Island, where she is working on a massive pop-up book of a Wishing Tree. This stunning creation will be showcased in the MESA Gallery. During her residency, Colette will also give a presentation, sharing insights into her artistic process, her work, and the inspiration behind her captivating pieces. Colette Fu holds an MFA in Fine Art Photography from the renowned Rochester Institute of Technology. Her fascination with constructing pop-up books began after completing her degree. Since then, she has designed pop-ups for acclaimed stop-motion animation commercials and has worked with prestigious clients such as Vogue China, Canon Asia, and Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton.
