You will save the cost of this workshop in expert tips before lunchtime. This new walking workshop takes a step forward in an increasingly expensive world where we’re all looking to save money whilst trying to make more sustainable choices on builds and renovations. It helps attendees achieve personalisation and bespoke finishes in an increasingly vanilla world of bland box extensions. It also features a practical afternoon session looking at (and playing with!) specific materials, finishes and paint to help guests to make the right choices for their homes. To be clear, the event is focused on management and treatment of Rett syndrome and there are no specific activities planned for family members with Rett. Some of the topics discussed may be stressful to listen to, i.e. longevity, treatment side effects and general health/progression in Rett. The venue is fully accessible and we will have dedicated hotel rooms with portable hoists and benches for personal care. The meeting rooms and dinner will be set up so that they are accessible for those with mobility needs. Accessible hotel rooms: Accessible rooms at the Edwardian Hotel are suitable for people with Rett syndrome who can walk with support, or who can transfer or be transferred into or out of their wheelchair. There are no hotel rooms with ceiling tracking hoists in this hotel. The beds in this hotel cannot accommodate portable hoists.
