The bike trails are smooth and paved, ensuring a comfortable journey filled with awe-inspiring interpretation breaks. The expedition commences at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center's parking lot and takes participants to the Back Bay Science Center, Jamboree Bridge, Big Canyon, and Vista Point before returning to the Muth Center. Throughout the ride, riders will be immersed in the breathtaking natural scenery, while also gaining valuable insights into the work of the Newport Bay Conservancy. In addition to the captivating landscapes, participants will have the opportunity to explore the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center and the Back Bay Science Center. The Vista Point will provide a chance to enjoy interpretive displays and learn about the Bay's intriguing history. The Newport Huntington Beach Bikeabout Tour is an exciting event taking place in Newport Beach. To ensure the event runs smoothly, it is important for participants to update their status if their plans change. Please note that a minimum of 6 confirmed attendees is required for the event to proceed. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, the tour may be canceled. Participants are responsible for covering the costs of bike rental, food, and drinks. The Bikeabout will cover a maximum distance of 35 miles round trip, starting from the Newport Wedge and heading to Huntington Beach. Throughout the ride, there will be stops at various points of interest, including the Huntington Beach Pier and Downtown Huntington Beach. For those in need of bike rentals, there are several rental businesses available. Look for the guide/host, Steven Caliridion, who will be wearing a Goodwill Ambassadors Travel/Caliridion T-Shirt in the parking area near the Wedge. It's important to note that the host/guide is not liable for any injuries or losses that may occur during the event.
