'Glenland BBQ in a Barn' is a great cycling event hosted by the BVRT Users Association. Starting in Harlin, we ride on the BVRT to Moore. We then take off over an old stock route, followed by a mix of bitumen and gravel roads to the Glenland cattle property where they have a large rustic barn that's been converted into a wedding venue. We've hired the barn for the occasion to host a delicious BBQ buffet catered by local caterers M & K Caterers. The property is set in stunning Somerset scenery not normally accessible to the public. High probability of encountering deer and wallabies. Some sections are quite hilly, but every climb is followed by a great descent. The stock route has rough sections and some sections with long grass. Reasonable fitness levels and moderate off-road bike handling skills are essentials. We start and finish in Harlin. This ride is suitable for MTBs, gravel bikes and hybrids. E-bikes suitable for off-road cycling are welcome Participation in this event is entirely at your own risk. We recommend membership of an organisation such as Bicycle Queensland or Auscycling that includes public liability and accident insurance or having your own accident and public liability insurance.
