This guided painting class is designed for all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the first time. Using a photo of your pet as a reference, Austin will lead you step by step in transforming your beloved furry (or feathered, or scaly!) friend into a colorful, one-of-a-kind portrait on canvas. We'll provide all the materials you need, including acrylic paints, brushes, and a pre-sketched canvas of your pet to make the process fun and stress-free. Along the way, you'll learn blending techniques, brush strokes, and color mixing tips to bring your pet's personality to life. Come solo or bring friends for a relaxed, social evening filled with creativity, laughter, and maybe even a few pet stories. No artistic experience? No problem! National Flash Fiction Day 2025 Join us for a celebration of flash fiction and the launch of National Flash Fiction Day's 2025 anthology on 14 June 2025. This is an in-person event lasting from 10:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. BST, taking place in Bath at Widcombe Social Club, Widcombe Hill, Bath BA2 6AA. If you are in a position to make a donation of any amount, we would be most grateful. The cost of running such an event has gone up drastically in the past few years, whilst our online reach has decreased dramatically due to changes in social media platforms. Any amount you can spare, however small, would make a tremendous difference to this volunteer-run project. However, please feel very welcome to attend whether or not you donate. There is no difference in between tickets that are free and tickets with donations. You only need to book one ticket (either a ticket with a donation or a ticket without a donation) to reserve your space. We cannot bring food into the building, but there are nice places to picnic in the vicinity, including nearby seating areas and the canal. Post-launch Festivities: After the launch, some of us will retire to a local bar/restaurant where we have booked a private space. Feel free to join us!
