The Charles Harris Memorial Tournament | VFW Post 10624

The first annual Charles Harris Memorial Tournament is open to any player. Please include your full name and APA handicap. If you do not have an established handicap, one will be appointed to you by the tournament commitee. This will be a double elimination 8 ball tournament. Winners Bracket: Same handicap - 3/3 Race One handicap difference - 2/3 race Two or more handicap difference - 2/4 race Losers Bracket: 2/2 race regardless of handicap Please join us for this first annual event in memory of the great Charles Harris. Charlie was an avid pool player, a true skilled competitor, a dedicated teammate; and more so, a great friend to all. This tournament will illustrate competitiveness alongside sportmanship; two values Charlie represented. There will be a 20$ minimum entry donation, which once collected and tallied will be donated to a charity of Charles Harris family choice. All proceeds collected will be donated. First place receives a Signature trophy with your name engraved as the first annual winner, and will be displayed at the VFW year round. Lunch and snacks will be provided over the course of the tournament.

Men Over 30 Coached Skateboarding Session | Exist Skatepark. (CUSP Swansea)

Our second Men Over 30 Coached Skateboarding session will be taking place on Wednesday 7th May 2025. This session is fully coached for the entire 2 hours by our qualified and highly experienced coaches. Skateboards and all safety equipment is provided as part of the entry cost. This event is for men over 30 only and is perfect for first timers and those looking to progress their skills. There is very limited parking at the skatepark so please either park on Mount Pleasant hill in the non-permit bays or the nearest car park is the NCP on Orchard Street. Doors open at 6pm. We can offer refunds up to 48 hours prior to the event. We can't wait!

Saltwater Fishing 101 Class (Co-Ed) Join us for an exciting day of Learning and fishing, OPEN to EVERYONE! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience with Saltwater Fishing, this event is perfect for you. So bring your friends and get ready for a fun-filled day on the Beautiful Wando River sponspored and in Partnership with Nautical Boat Club, Mount P. This awesome event will provide you with hands-on Instruction from Pluff Mud Princess Outdoors, who will help guide you on the basics of Saltwater fishing with a 2 hour class on-land to start and then the unique opportunity to go Fishing right after the class with 2 hours of inshore fishing on the gorgeous Wando River in two of Nautical's Beautiful Center Consoles. We will cover a variety of different fishing topics such as knot tying, casting, bait selection, understanding the tides, finding fish & structure, Species identification and so much more! Don't worry about bringing any equipment - we will provide everything you need including Bait, tackle, rods/reel and even refreshments for on and off the water! We will start the class with *2 hours of on-land based instruction overlooking the Wando River covering all the basics of Saltwater Fishing and then following that we will spend 2 hours on the water fishing Inshore on the Wando River where you will be able to use your new found skills and knowledge first hand!
if you desire to attend only the instruction part of the event, that is an option we are offering. Boating spots are limited to 8. With the incredible opportunity to fish and practice your skills on the beautiful Wando River, fishing from a impressive Center Console Boat with a licensed and insured Captain, courtesy of Nautical Boat club. Third Annual Fishing Derby! | 85 Mt Pleasant Rd

Where: 85 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Newtown When: Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 8-10am (rain or shine) Cost: $10 suggested donation to reserve each participant's spot Who: Children ages 4-14 to participate. A parent/guardian must accompany child throughout the event. Registration is on a first come-first serve basis to a maximum of 30 participants. Sign-ups after that maximum will be placed on a wait list. If you register and need to cancel, please do so promptly to allow another participant. All ages and abilities welcome. What an incredible way to soak up the Djeran Sunshine that with a relaxed bike ride around Canning River Bridges ride. Some take it quick, some take it slow. Do a little or complete the full 6km loop. However you choose to do it, there will be others there to cheer you on and celebrate the adventure.
