The 2024 Annual Sportsmanship Dinner is set to take place on February 19th, 2024, marking the 70th consecutive year of this prestigious event. The dinner will be held at the renowned Halls of St. George in Schererville, Indiana, making it a must-attend occasion for athletes and patrons alike in the Calumet Region. This year's guest speaker is Robbie Hummel, a Valparaiso High School and Purdue University alumni who has made a name for himself as one of the nation's premier college basketball analysts. With a successful career as a player, Hummel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
The dinner, which has gained recognition as the premiere athletic social event in the region, offers a chance for players and supporters to come together and celebrate sportsmanship. Over the past 69 years, the Committee has awarded scholarships totaling over $320,000.00 to deserving high school athletes. This year's dinner promises to be special, following the success of the previous in-person gatherings. The Committee has chosen to continue hosting the event at The Halls of St. George, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to support the event and contribute to the future success of these athletes. A single sponsorship costs $75.00, covering meal expenses and funding the scholarship awards. In return, sponsors receive advertising in the program, a delicious meal, and the opportunity to hear Robbie Hummel's inspiring message. Additional guest tickets can be purchased for $75.00 each, ensuring that everyone can join in the celebration. Corporate Sponsorships are also available.

Additionally, we will bid a fond farewell and extend our best wishes to our respected seniors. The GLCC 2024 Annual Bowling Awards Banquet will take place at the exquisite Halls of St George in Schererville. Located at 905 East Joliet Street, Schererville, IN 46375, this stunning venue sets the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and camaraderie.
Our ticket prices are as follows: High School/Middle School Bowlers are invited to attend free of charge. However, to ensure accurate headcounts, please add one complimentary ticket to your order for each HS/MS Bowler. Adult tickets are priced at $35 each, making this a fantastic opportunity to celebrate alongside our talented bowlers. Children aged 4-8 can join in the festivities for just $18 per ticket, while children aged 3 and under can attend free of charge.

The bird with many names! Whether you call it the timberdoodle, bog sucker, Labrador twister, or more simply the woodcock, its spring dance is a sight to behold. Join us to watch the evening curtain rise on this quite punctual performer.
The group will meet walk leader, Dan Barriball, at the Hoosier Prairie Nature Preserve Parking which is located east of the Main St. and Kennedy Ave. intersection on the south side of the road.

If you are a National Audubon member (donor), then you are considered a chapter member of the Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society, if you live in our service area (Lake and Porter Counties).
