Experience an exclusive 6-week Moccasin Making Course with the talented Teekca Spence at The Forks in Winnipeg. This hands-on workshop is designed for ages 12 and above, offering a unique opportunity to learn traditional Indigenous arts. The classes will take place on Sundays starting April 7th, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Storyboot School, located at Manitobah Headquarters on the 4th Floor of Johnston Terminal. The course covers beading, leatherwork, hand sewing techniques, pattern-making, beadwork, design, construction, and moccasin care. All necessary tools will be provided for your project. The workshop fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to a future class if necessary. Register now as space is limited. Indigenous youth up to 30 years old can attend at no cost.
