Welcome to FERAL, a joyous celebration of all things wild, untamed and teeth baring! Join us for a night of visceral performances, with poetry, storytelling, music and burlesque in a night filled with the energy of life emerging from darkness. Our performers are responding to the theme with works from the sublime to the embodied, the estoric to the material, the satiated to the unfullfilled. The Poetry Brothel is performance poetry space, celebrating the odd, the mysterious and the beauty of difference. We are a loose performance ensemble of misfits and dreamers, held together by rhizomes of interconnected interests, with words and music as the connective tissue. Join us in the atmospheric Dowstairs Bar of The White Rock Hotel for an unforgettable night with like minded individuals. Open performances are followed by opportunities to, for a small additional fee, purchase private readings with the spoken word artist/s of your choice.
