The Annual Kappa Derby Soiree of the Knoxville (TN) Alumni Chapter (KAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is set to be a grand event on May 3rd, 2025. The soiree will take place at The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm, located at 9133 Hunter Valley Lane, Knoxville, TN 37922.
This year's Derby aims to generate funds in support of the Knoxville Area Programs and Partnerships for Achievement (K.A.P.P.A.) 501c3 Foundation, which serves as the philanthropic arm of the Knoxville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
The proceeds from this year's Kappa Derby will support the K.A.P.P.A. Foundation. The foundation's mission is to back various programs and activities of organizations within the greater Knox County and East Tennessee area that focus on:
· Education: Providing resources and support for educational initiatives.
· Workforce Development: Promoting job readiness and employment opportunities.
· Mental Health & Substance Abuse: Supporting mental health initiatives and substance abuse prevention programs.
· Healthcare: Ensuring access to essential health services.
· Homelessness: Addressing and providing solutions for homelessness in the community.
The Annual Kappa Derby Soiree promises to be an evening of elegance and purpose, bringing together community members and leaders to contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve the lives of those in need in the Knoxville and East Tennessee areas.
