This car show will be in aid of raising money for The Royal Marsden and to bring people together at the club for a great day. Were hoping the weather is on our side this year and will have classic cars, super cars, emergency service vehicles, outdoor bars, food trucks, live music & much more for the whole family to enjoy. Everyone is welcome and we will also invite people from the local area to join us and hopefully raise even more money for the charity and increase membership at the club too. As part of your entry ticket you will receive a programme which will include local businesses who will also be sponsoring the event. Experience a night of top-notch comedy at Comedy in Purley-on-Thames event, taking place at The Barn in Purley on Thames on October 12, 2024. Laughter Craft Comedy presents a stellar lineup featuring TV and Award-Winning Comedians. Headliner Steve Williams, known for his appearances on Russell Howard's Good News and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Road Show, will have you in stitches. Joining him are Andrew Bird from Russel Howard Hour, Fiona Allen from Smack the Pony, and Jonathan Elston, a comic with incredible talent as hailed by the Guardian. With a licensed bar onsite, this 18+ event promises an evening of laughter in unreserved theatre-style seating. Please note that the lineup is subject to change. Our Sip & Paint art workshops are for adults of all abilities who want to come and enjoy an one-off art experience. No experience needed, our instructors will guide you every step of the way. The class will all work on the same project at the same time, with personal, individualised support from the teacher to help you overcome any challenges along the way. The project this workshops is our mixed media 'Bird on a Branch', working in watercolours and acrylics; you'll try out a few experimental art techniques, inviting a sense of play and colour in your artwork. Here are a couple of progress shots so you can see what it will be like to create the piece of artwork. The class will all work on the same project at the same time, with personal, individualised support from the teacher to help you overcome any challenges along the way. At the end of the class everyone will go home with a finished piece (and had a lot of fun). Each workshop is 2 hours and individuals will need to bring their own drinks; alcoholic and non alcoholic is encouraged. We will have tea on site for anyone wanting something warm!
