This course is designed to help children aged 9–13 gain confidence and independence by learning: The importance of responsibility and respect when caring for themselves How to set and follow safety rules when home alone Ways to stay safe in both home and community settings How to prepare for, recognize, and respond to unexpected situations Basic first aid skills Each participant will receive a workbook and a certificate of completion . On Friday July 4th Compressions4You will be at The Nourish and Develop Foundation to deliver a Babysitting Course to children 11 to 16 years old. It will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Dining Room at 16 York Street in Cannington. This course will equip participants with the skills to care for children of various age groups, while fostering responsibility and leadership. They will receive training in emergency response, basic first aid, and essential caregiving techniques for youth. Additionally, participants will learn how to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families. Please note that space is limited and advanced registration and payment is required. This course offers first aid and CPR skills for those who need work training or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. It includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. To receive a certificate, you must complete the online portion in full and receive a minimum of 75% on a written evaluation.100% attendance of the course is required. Must be 14 + to attend Cost: $175 per person Some sponsored spots are available Registration is REQUIRED by May 9th This course is blended – part of the course is completed online, and part of the course is in class. The approximate 7 hours of online work must be completed before attending the in-class portion on May 23rd.
