Brymbo Fossil Forest 'Sneaky Peek' Guided Tour (Inc. free coffee & cake) | Stori Brymbo
May 4, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Brymbo
Get a sneaky peek at the Brymbo Fossil Forest Project, the UK's first live palaeontological excavation. You'll get a guided tour from one of our Fossil Forest volunteers, detailing the discovery & development of the site as well as an introduction to what the fossils discovered tell us about what Brymbo was like 314 million years ago! You'll also get a chance to see the excavation in progress and talk to our palaeontologists about what they are currently working on! Paid tickets include free coffee & cake in the sheltered Fossil Forest rest area.
Please be aware this is a hilly site and the gravel/stone paths are not yet fully compressed. Currently the Guided Tours use a path that is not accessible with a wheelchair or pushchair and will be difficult for some motorised mobility scooters. We are working to be able to offer Accessible Tours via a different route from late May. Any queries please contact tom.hughes@brymboheritage.co.uk
Sorry - No dogs allowed on tours
