All attendees will take home a Goonhammer Open t-shirt and swag. The winner will take home the Goonhammer Open Championship belt, a Golden Ticket to the World Championship of Warhammer in Atlanta, and $300 to help you get there. Welcome to the Goonhammer Open MD Necromunday Weekender 2025! Battle in the wastes and underhives of the beseiged planet of Varona in the GHO MD 2025 Necromunday Narrative Weekender. We will play around 6 games across two days - maybe more or less depending on the group's appetite for mega-battles and gang raids. Last year, Weekender attendees killed a Warhound Titan with a Cargo-8 to the face. Who knows what will happen this year! We will be running a streamlined Escalation Campaign. Plan for 1000 points base plus 400 points for vehicles and wargear that gives the mounted condition. Gangs will regularly gain a chunk of change between games, so bring some extra dudes! Games will be in Ash Wastes, Sector Mechanicus, and Zone Mortalis. A primer will be out shortly - packet will arrive in May. Welcome to the Goonhammer Open MD 40k Narrative 2025! The GHO Narrative is a 30-player event to decide the fate of the beseiged world of Varona. Players will assume the role of attacker or defender and battle alongside other generals. This exciting event will take place over two days, with support of a wide variety of armies and play styles. Each ticket will cover a five person team. We have some amazing prize support! There will be tickets to the Warhammer Grand Narrative in Atlanta up for grabs. Additionally, there will be prizes for best painted and smoking boots. Every player will receive a T-shirt and swag as well! Factions will be split into the following teams: Defenders – The Imperium team, plus their allies of convenience. Arriving on Varona at the request of Inquisitor Magnolia Bulkhead, whose desperate communications indicated that the world had key strategic significance to the Imperium. Uncover the hidden lab of Archmagos 5-0GZ and his heretical work, explore the ruins of Krunch’s derelict hulk, and stop the Despoilers. Despoilers – The forces of Chaos, plus their mercenaries and corrupted allies. Varona’s emergence from the warp was foretold, and beneath the planet’s surface lies ancient archaeotech and resources that could be used to destabilize the Imperium. Attack the planet and claim it as your own. Claim its secrets for your own and kill any and all in your path. Raiders – Unaligned forces, consisting primarily of Xenos but also including renegade Imperium factions and Chaos forces who refuse to submit to the will of another warlord. Varona has resources of great value, chief among them the prototype Tellyporta drive designed by the Ork Mek Kap’n Krunch.
