On 22 October Condé Nast Traveller will host A Taste of Louis Roederer. The Champagne house, founded in 1776 in Reims, France, is famed for its Cristal Champagne, the prestige cuvée first produced for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, in 1876. Louis Roederer is one of the last family-owned Champagne houses and is renowned for its consistent quality and craftsmanship. It is also a pioneer in sustainable farming and, despite being one of the smallest Grandes Marques houses, is the largest cultivator of organic vines in Champagne. This devotion to the richness of the soil results in an extraordinary standard of Champagne, and has led to Louis Roederer being named The World’s Most Admired Champagne Brand for the sixth year in a row. Guests will be treated to a Champagne-and-canapé reception followed by a multicourse tasting menu inspired by seasonal local produce, paired with some of the finest Louis Roederer Champagnes, at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. This restored 18th-century manor, less than an hour from London, lies within a storied estate where Henry VIII first met Catherine of Aragon. Set in 500 acres of tranquil woodland and parkland grazed by deer, Four Seasons fuses centuries‐old history with modern luxury – the perfect venue to appreciate a venerable wine. Welcome to the Barn Dance Fundraiser! Come join us for a night of fun and fundraising at Elizabeth Hall . Get ready to kick up your heels and dance the night away to live music from the Oxford Nags and calling from Aidan Hansell. We are looking raise funds for our daughter to take a once in a lifetime trip to Borneo. As part of the expedition, there will be a community project component - Which exact one they do will be decided by the group and the other components of their itinerary. The group will also be visiting the orangutan sanctuary in Sepilok, where they’ll assist in rehabilitating orangutans that have been injured due to deforestation or illegal hunting, with the goal of reintroducing them back into the wild.
