THE KATE BUSH SONGBOOK
Since embarking on their musical journey back in 2012, Cloudbusting have been touring theatres and music venues across the UK and Europe, exploring the intricacies and nuance of Kate’s stunning albums.
Along the way, many of those complex and at times powerful arrangements have demanded every ounce of musicality and virtuosity that the band could muster - but at more reflective moments, the true essence of Kate’s imaginative concepts have come to life with simply the voice and piano.
It’s these jewels of the song-writing craft that the ‘Kate Bush Song Book’ ensemble now performs - with Matthew Bowers at the piano and Dave Roberts on bass backing the hauntingly beautiful vocals of Mandy Watson.
The Song Book repertoire features stunning arrangements of some lesser-known tracks as well as many of the hits - including
Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, Hounds of Love
and
Cloudbusting.
But it’s perhaps the clarity of those piano-based tracks such as
This Woman’s Work
,
Moments of Pleasure
and
The Man With The Child In His Eyes
that dazzle most with their sheer complexity and pure lyrical invention.
Many of Kate’s original collaborators have been inspired to join Cloudbusting for stage performances: drummer Preston Heyman; dancer and choreographer Stewart Avon Arnold; and of course the late Del Palmer - Kate’s bass player and sound engineer - who was always an avid supporter of the Kate Bush Song Book and guest performed with them across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
With material from across Kate’s 45 year career, interspersed with personal reflections and insights to many of the songs from Mandy, Matt and Dave, don’t miss your chance to join them for a magical evening in appreciation of ‘this woman’s work’.
‘Mandy’s vocals were so good, I could have been listening to Kate herself!’
Preston Heyman, Kate’s drummer
‘
Utterly, surreally brilliant

I Am The Greatest
In this solo drama Rodrequesz King-Dorset plays Jake 'Mental' Hughes a psychiatric patient whose voice illuminates the anger, rage and sometimes indifference of the mental health system we have in place today.
Both whimsical and dark, his character lives in a twighlight zone of a bizarre fanatic who loses his way onto thinking that he is the real Muhammad Ali persona.
The play introduces us to a short film of the twenty-something boxing fanatic who loses his way into thinking that he is the real Ali. The stage action begins with an ageing 'Mental' Hughes as takes on the world over his right to live life without psychotic drugs - the Zuc or the needle!
"I am the Greatest" takes us into the psyche of an individual who has endured 25 years of the painful effects of the Zuc and introduces us to a unique interpretation of mental health and a society plagued by a lack of essential support due to government bungling.
WARNING: This play contains reference to drug use and mental illness.

THE ANNIE DAVIES JAZZ QUARTET | Henley-in-Arden Memorial Hall
Jul 20, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Henley in Arden
Annie was once a touring folk musician whose adventure took her through playing in commercial , rock and blues bands (accompanied by her tenor sax Jeffrey, her alto Esmeralda and clarinet Clarissa), before arriving at the music that talks to her soul - Swing and Latin American.
Her journey encompassed not only New Zealand and Australia but also the U.K., Norway and Holland, where she has sung and played her heart out for many years.
Annie retired from giggling 2 years ago - but she just can’t stop the music!
The Church choir has been happy for her to sing with them and she and Clarissa have accompanied them - soaring and sweeping in the style of Jan Gabarek around Christmas Carols! ( which was rather unusual!?) and this has ignited her desire to perform occasionally again. And Laurence said yes!
She has gathered some really close friends together - three wonderful musician who have all played with Annie at some stage of her life - but not altogether at the same time!
Mike Kemp ( from Northampton ) piano
Adrian Smith ( from Wells) double bass
Lee Smith (from Brackley) drums
We would very much like you to be part of this afternoon of musical adventure
