Children aged 8yrs up and adults are welcome to book on to one of the two timed slots. The meeting point for both sessions is by the bright new metal bridge over the canal at the bottom of the park (in the meadow). Waiver forms will need to be completed by adults prior to paddling. Joining instructions will be emailed a week before. Paddlers are expected to walk a short distance to either collect or drop off their canoe. Pop on your pinny and roll up your sleeves, this artisan bread course will have you baking classic staples and treats of Scandinavia… Sara Ward trained as a Bread Angel with Jane Mason of Virtuous Bread back in 2015 followed by a Five Day Intensive Bread course and further Croissant & Viennoiserie training with Richard Bertinet at his Cookery School in Bath . You will be welcomed to Hen Corner with fresh coffee and home made treats. Then, after an introduction to our time together, you will have opportunity to stroll around the garden visiting the chickens and bees, then off to the conservatory and kitchen to knead that dough… Whilst the aromas of warm baking fills the air, and other batches are proving, we will enjoy a simple lunch to fuel us for the tasks of the afternoon. An afternoon for the whole family in the garden at Hen Corner… You will be welcomed with home made refreshments and introduced to the joys of keeping chickens! We’ve been keeping hens, pure breeds, hybrids and bantams, here in London, since 2007 and currently have Pure Breed hens in an Eglu Cube (mark 1), Hybrid hens in the new Eglu Cube and Bantams in an Eglu Classic... Whilst there will be treats and crafts for the children, our time together will give a good introduction to keeping chickens in an urban garden.
