Come join the Conscious Connected Breathwork session! Date: Wednesday 7 May 2025 Time: 7:30pm Location: Queen Elizabeth Park Centre, Guildford Come join to find freedom within, which is an hour and a half conscious connected breathwork session. It is a transformative experience that can improve emotional well-being, gain clarity, self-awareness and reduce stress. Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful breath which involves continuous, deep, full-body breathing with no pauses between the inhale and the exhale. This session is perfect for anyone looking to connect with themselves on a deeper level and experience the profound benefits of conscious breathing. The experiences can be wide ranging; from relaxing to euphoria, to releasing of trauma, to connection to the something bigger than us. Whatever your experience and whether you're a seasoned breather or new to the practice, this session is open to all. Each session starts with an overview, some movement of the body to make sure our energy systems are working in the right direction. We then move into the breathwork journey which lasts about 45 minutes. You are then guided back and offered snacks and the opportunity to share. Please wear warm, comfortable clothing. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket if you're able to and a thin pillow for your head if you would like. Please note: There are some contraindications to this powerful breath; schizophrenia, bipolar, epilepsy, heart conditions, glaucoma, aneurysms, high or low blood pressure, risk of stroke, recent surgery and early or delicate pregnancy. On 21 June Stage 7 was due to take us from Box Hill to Guildford which is approximately 15 miles. Having recently checked this route we have taken the decision to split the walk into 2 stages. This month we will travel from Shere to Guildford having walked from Box Hill to Shere in June. There will be an additional date (tbc) to undertake the Guildford to Farnham section (Stage 8). Whilst we wish to ensure we can welcome all, our pilgrimages do require some walking experience. Before booking please be sure you’re able to walk for at least 10 miles at a reasonable pace, in varying weather conditions and across a range of different terrain. The pilgrimage organisers will not want to ask anyone to turn back during the walk but if necessary we may need to do so to keep the entire group safe. We try to ensure there is at least one drop out point during the walk with links to public transport but this is not always possible. Ticket price does not include refreshments or travel. Kirtan the singing or chanting of a sacred mantras is an easy yet sublime method of yoga meditation that has been practiced since the time immemorial. It is as universal as the sunrise. It transcends all languages nationalities and religion faiths. Kirtan is known for its ability to calm the mind, open the heart, and connect people with their inner selves and with others. It is a form of meditation in motion, where the music and chanting serve as a pathway to stillness and deep relaxation. At this event, we will also practicing some deep breathing exercise. These exercises are designed to help you relax, focus, and clear your mind, making it easier to get the most out of the meditation practice. Whether you are new to kirtan or have been practicing for years, attending a kirtan event is a wonderful way to connect with yourself, others, and the divine.
