This highly anticipated showdown brings together legendary veterans of the sound-clash arena, handpicked to go head-to-head in a battle of skill, strategy, and dubplate mastery. Some of the most feared (and loved) pre millennium Sounds/Selectors will go round for round in a high-energy public exhibition, showcasing decades of experience and expertise. With pride, legacy, and the inaugural Veterans Cup on the line, these icons will stop at nothing to claim victory! First up is a true pioneer in dancehall and clash culture— Silver Hawk ! Founded by the late great Steely (R.I.E.P) & Clevie , this powerhouse Sound has left an indelible mark on the industry. With the charismatic Richie Poo at the helm, Silver Hawk is renowned for their razor-sharp dubplates—so crisp they sound like 45s—and their deep vault of exclusive dubs from reggae/dancehall legends like Jimmy Cliff, Super Cat, and more. Now, after a long-awaited return to the UK, Silver Hawk is stepping into the arena to face off against three other highly decorated veteran Sounds/Selectors. The next sound we added to the War Arena is none other than the legendary Sir David Rodigan -aka Mr Ram Jam , aka the reggae encyclopedia himself! A true icon in the clas world, Rodigan has been a dominant force since his historic clash with Barry G in the 80s. This is going to be the first time in history that these two Titans will meet in a clash settings, yes that's right...THE FIRST! Expect nothing but musical fireworks! Then we added a sound, owned and operated by another legendary Jamaican music producer/label owner Jack Scorpio aka "Farda Jack" , it's the Mighty Black Scorpio Sound ...The most senior sound in the line up and a stalwalt in sound system culture, Black Scorpio goes back to a previous era where artist's played a more prominent role (appearing live) in the dance. They have a deep and vast treasure chest to draw from. The final sound added is none other than Birmingham's own Luv Injection Sound . Founded in 1986 by Winston "Mexican" Thomas , Luv Injection has been a cornerstone of the UK's sound system culture for close to four decades. Known as "The Giant That Never Slept," they've earned this title through relentless performances and a formidable presence in the sound clash arena. Their history includes memorable clashes with some of the world's other leading sounds, solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in the scene.With a legacy rooted in Birmingham's rich musical heritage, Luv Injection brings a blend of vintage vibes and modern energy to the clash. Dipna Anand is a celebrated British chef, restaurateur, and educator known for her innovative approach to traditional Punjabi cuisine. As co-owner and culinary director of the iconic Brilliant Restaurant in Southall, she has played a pivotal role in elevating Indian gastronomy in the UK. Under her leadership, Brilliant Restaurant earned national acclaim, including recognition on Channel 4's Ramsay’s Best Restaurant and a visit from King Charles, who praised the establishment's authentic flavors. In 2025, she launched Brilliant Gastro in Southall's Green Quarter, a gastropub that blends Punjabi heritage with modern British cuisine. Dipna continues to share her passion through cookbooks, television appearances, and guest lectures, solidifying her legacy as a trailblazer in the culinary world. This tournament is a Men and Mixed pairs session tournament type. Men and Mixed teams will be playing in the same session THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED ON INDOOR COURTS. CATEGORIES AND SESSIONS: BEGINNER - 0 - 1.49 -- this player has recently started playing padel for the first time or has not yet played enough games to have the necessary confidence with the shots and court play( please mention at the check out if you feel you are within a beginner level) INTERMEDIATE - 1.50 - 2.99-- good padel experience and capabale to play at a good level competitive matches ( please mention at the check out if you feel you are within an intermediate level) UPPER INTERMEDIATE - 3 - 3.99 --long padel experience and capabale to play at a intense and fast competitive games ( please mention at the check out if you feel you are within an intermediate level) ADVANCED - 4 - 4.99 -- this player has got a strong padel experience, capable to play very intense, difficult, fast long lasting rallies and matches ( please mention at the check out if you feel you are within an advanced level) ADVANCED TOP - 5 - 5.50-- this player has got a very strong, solid padel experience, capable to play very intense, difficult, fast long lasting rallies and matches ( please mention at the check out if you feel you are within an advanced level) TOURNAMENTS WILL LAST APPROX 3 HOURS TOURNAMENT FORMAT Round Robin: each team will play first matches against each other team in their same category level.
