In this ongoing course, we will be exploring the basics of acrylic painting, as well as understanding composition, color, light and layering for depth and perspective. Each class we will explore a variety of options for painting a subject matter you choose. Bring a picture or idea and Karen will guide you through choices so you can learn to evolve your image intuitively and develop your own style. In this class students will make their very own wooden and epoxy "Mini River" with a live edge Table that can be used as a serving board, charcuterie board, or as a wonderful display piece of custom art. Students will cut their own unique "river" shape using the wood provided for the class. Then the real fun stuff begins, students will mix up their own deep pour epoxy and choose from the many colors of pigment provided in the class. Students will pour epoxy into the molds and swirl their own unique designs in the epoxy. Students return exactly 1 week later to demold, flatten and finish their boards. Come and see the next level of our UV Resin classes. We will offer a UV Resin Jewelry and Keychain class. Using molds, and assorted materials, we will make one-of-a-kind resin pendants or key chains that are perfect for gifts or yourself. For $32.00 you will get to make two necklace pendants, which include the necklace leather holder and also includes a keychain with the keychain holder. If you would like to make more, you can add additional pieces for $10.00. A number of embellishments will also be available to help make it a true masterpiece! Ages 12+.
