Join the City of Riverside’s Office of Sustainability and Fire Emergency Operations Management—alongside local agencies, NGOs, the health sector, higher education institutions, school districts, and government leaders—for a full day of learning, collaboration, and action-focused dialogue on extreme heat challenges and solutions.

SECC Youth Leadership Convention 2025 | La Sierra University - Zapara School of Business

Southeastern California Conference’s (SECC) annual Youth Leadership Convention focuses on equipping children's, youth, young adult, and club ministry leaders by creating opportunities for them to grow and thrive in their ministries. We wish to empower leaders who call upon young people to engage in relevant issues of our time in a spirit of learning and love for Jesus Christ.
Leadership Convention Details
We are offering breakout sessions through five tracks: Adventurers, Pathfinders, Children & Family Ministries, Youth & Young Adult ministries, and "Growing Together 2025," which teaches the new features and model of our intergenerational conference curriculum. To learn more, visit

Registration Process
This year’s event will feature a two-part registration process. The first part is to reserve your spot, with a general admission cost of $59. In August, all attendees will complete a second registration to select their breakout sessions. For a limited time, we are offering a special Golden Ticket for $35, available until July 4. Golden Ticket holders will receive priority access and be among the first to choose their breakouts starting August 1.
Please note that Golden Tickets are non-refundable and only for ministry leaders in a SECC church.
If space allows, late registration will open on August 15 at a rate of $90. Your ticket covers both Friday and Saturday (no Sabbath-only passes are available). Children are not permitted to attend, with the exception of high school-aged ministry leaders who are attending with an adult church leader.

This course will provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical tools to manage public information, whether it is a routine operation, positive PR story, or critical incident.
Through a blend of lectures, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies, participants will learn how to develop and implement effective communication strategies, manage media relations, and engage with the public through various channels. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to navigate the complexities of public information in emergencies and build trust within their communities.
