Daring to “want” is a luxury. Being able to “give” is an even greater one.
Live in the moment, speak from the heart. But do you dare to do so?
I love the relentless busyness yet resent it, craving the sacred loneliness of "ME TIME" even amidst abundance.
There’s still a Trojan horse in my soul that says “I don’t envy others”.
Defining a simple relationship isn’t such a simple task after all.
When I’m being loved, I suddenly miss those painful moments of loving someone else
How extravagant - to finish listening to a song and eventually liking myself a little more.
To truly master the art of breathing—is life's greatest challenge.
It's not ingratitude, but the quiet realization, what I once overlooked, I now hold sacred.
LaLa Hsu’s music is a heartfelt journey through love, loss, and self-discovery. She turns personal memories into songs, hiding those she once loved and writing about those she once resented, inviting listeners to laugh, cry, and reflect. Her lyrics embrace vulnerability and honesty, offering a raw look at love, jealousy, and self-doubt. After five years, her new album is a gift to her fans, a reminder that true emotion is never easy but always worth sharing.
In the book “Things That Feel a Bit Luxurious,” writer Huang Li-Chun reflects, “Never seeking to please others is the greatest luxury of being human.” For LaLa, the greatest luxury is not seeking anyone's approval, but standing before you and helping you to love yourself a little more.
LaLa Hsu stands as a distinguished all-rounder in the Mandopop music scene. In 2008, she participated in the third season of the reality TV singing competition One Million Star and debuted on 15 August of that year after winning the championship of the contest. On 29 May 2009, she released her first solo album “LaLa Hsu”. To date, she has officially released six studio albums and three live concert albums. With a crystal-clear voice that’s nothing short of flawless and a uniquely delicate vocal delivery that draws listeners in, she continues to move hearts with her unwavering dedication to music.
In 2010, LaLa Hsu was awarded the prestigious Best New Artist award at the 21st Golden Melody Awards for her debut full-length album. In 2015, her album “Missing” received six nominations at the 26th Golden Melody Awards. In 2018, she took home two major awards at the 29th Golden Melody Awards—Best Mandarin Album and Best Mandarin Female Singer—for her album “The Inner Me”. In 2022, she won Best Single Producer at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards for the song “None of the Above”. In 2023, her album “Gei” received eight nominations at the 34th Golden Melody Awards, and she was awarded with the Best Composer. That same year, LaLa also launched her “Sometimes, Less is More” concert, followed by a successful international tour in 2024—further solidifying her status as one of the most accomplished and versatile artists in Mandopop today.
