Celebrate love with Paint, Sip, Chill! Join in a paint n' sip night at the heart of Madrid, NM. The event will be held at Mad Contemporary Gallery & Art Center, located at 3 Firehouse Lane. Immerse yourself in the cozy community paint classes that are beginner-friendly and inspired by the rich culture of New Mexico and the beautiful Southwest. These 2.5-hour classes aim to help guests expand their artistic ability one class and sip at a time. Whether you're a first-time painter or an experienced artist, you'll leave the class proudly with a new masterpiece in hand. The best part is that everything you need to complete your work of art will be at your fingertips. Paint-Sip-Chill extends its classes to those aged 21 and above, making it perfect for team-building events, birthdays, anniversaries, and more. Please note that there is a TWELVE SEAT LIMIT, so we encourage participants to buy their tickets early. Additionally, there is a THREE PERSON MINIMUM for the class to proceed as scheduled. Art Instructor Cheryl Casden, a native of the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, will lead the class. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and has studied abroad at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem, Israel. With over a decade of teaching experience, Cheryl's fun-loving, easy-to-follow, and technique-focused yet creatively driven teaching style has been highly praised. The Art Gallery of Cornelis van der Geest, a work by the Flemish painter Willem van Haecht from the collection of the Rubenshuis in Antwerp, is now on temporary display in the Central Gallery of the Museo Nacional del Prado (Room 28) with the aim of celebrating the splendour of art in Flanders and its patronage by the Spanish royal family.

We are proud to show our new exhibition with works by Hugo Wirz. The artists statement of the show: "You are part of everything and everything is part of you, which someone told me in a dream five years ago, and "Water is fundamental for everything that lives" are two ideas with great weight and importance in my work. Water, transparent and fluid, it reflects everything that is around us, and depending on the temperature it can transform into ice or vapor, that is, it can go from a solid and crystalline body to an odorless and colorless gas. According to what scientists tell us, The atoms of water have existed for 13,813 million years and each of us is made up of 62% of them. In the installation that I present, made with rockrose branches covered with Japanese paper, I have constructed the three states of water, the ice at the bottom, fluid water in the middle, and steam bubbles at the top. The red threads represent the energies that circulate between the three states. In the drawings, I show images of cosmic constellations that I visualize in dreams or with my eyes closed. They are made with rice paper on which I apply several layers of watercolor and on which I make the drawing while listening to music. Depending on the rhythm, my hand begins to move almost automatically while I try to make everything flow like water and many times the result is an unexpected shape.

“Art that connects” is a joint initiative between the Museo Nacional del Prado and Telefónica that commemorates the company's centenary and encourages people to connect through culture.
