The course is delivered by theory and practical demonstrations and delegates can have a go with the fire extinguishers and fire blanket to put out different fires.
The course covers the latest fire safety regulations and the roles and duties of employees and their responsibilities on Fire Safety. The course is designed to meet and comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It covers how fires are started, methods of controlling fire spread, evacuating the building, fire briefings and risk assessing.
On completion of the assessment, delegates will receive a certificate, valid for 3 years and can sign up to receive weekly videos to refresh and keep up to date with changes.

Time - Arrival from 0845 - 0855. Course starts at 0900. Course ends approx 1330. Please do not arrive before 0845.
Strictly no admittance to the course after 0900. If you arrive after this time you will not be allowed to join the course and will still be charged for the place. You will need to rebook on a later date.
Parking is not available on site. Blue badge holders should contact us prior to the course. Nearby car parks are listed below:
Harefield Road car Park, CV11 4HR is a 3-minute walk.
NCP Newdigate Street, CV11 4EU is a 7-minute walk
On arrival do not go to the front door of the fire station. We are based in the training and development centre, which is down Newtown Road (take the side road off the main Newtown Road, this is between pets at home and the fire station) and through the red gate, which is behind the fire station building.
There is a bell on the fence to the right of the red gate, under a cover. Ring the bell and it will alert staff in the training building. We will then come and open the gate for you, please note, it may take us a few minutes to get to the gate, so please only ring the bell once and then wait for us to arrive.
Please take care when walking through the yard as there may be vehicle movement or drill training. The training building is through the gate, past the garages and turn right at the end of the yard.
Trainer - Warwickshire Fire and Rescue
Breaks will be arranged by the trainer during the session. You will need to bring your own drink(s) with you and also a pen and paper.
Some of the assessment is carried out on a mannekin on the floor, so please advise us if this could be a problem for you. We cover several different topics of which some maybe of a sensitive nature to yourself e.g. CPR, choking. Please can you let us know in advance if this would cause you any distress, and we will contact you to discuss this prior to the da
ID - You are required to bring photographic ID and must show it to the trainer when signing in. Failure to bring ID will mean you will not be permitted to attend the course and will have to re-book. You will still be charged.
Communication - the course will be conducted in written and spoken English. Members of staff will be required to participate fully in the session.

Join the Education rangers to explore our park through a variety of activities. Book your summer session and then come and choose your activities with your friends on the day. You can discover what fantastical things you can make from natural materials in the park, investigate who lives in the different habitats whilst trying your hand at minibeast hunting and have a go at toasting a marshmallow over the camp fire.
This is a drop in event so you can attend and take part in the activities at any time within the allocated time frame that you book. All children must be accompanied by an adult (18+) and a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children must be maintained during our events. This is a family event, however younger children will need closer supervision due to the presence of a fire. Meet a ranger by the wooden shelter to get signed in and to help point you in the direction of all of our activities. This event is a drop in so you do not have to stay for the full duration of the time slot.
Booking via eventbrite guarantees you a space on this event however a limited number of tickets may be made available on the day of this event.

Yes, pre booking is essential
What should I wear?
Activities involve going outside, please make sure your suitably dressed for all weathers (mosquitos and horseflies will be about in the summer). Remember to bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent.
What happens if there is a weather warning?
We may have to alter your outside activity if there is a weather warning in place, but we will do our utmost to carry on with mitigations in place or provide an indoor activity (if possible). If we cancel your event due to extreme weather, we will offer you an alternative date for the event or provide you with a refund.
Can I bring snacks and drinks?
Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drink, however we don’t advise eating during the events as some activities require hand washing on return after the activity.
Where do we meet?
Meet your ranger by the wooden shelter near to the main car park.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Car parking is payable at the machine by card.
What is the age requirement for children’s events?
Our children's events events are aimed at 3-12yr olds, unless specified in the event description. Children under 5 will need more supervision undertaking some of the activities. If you have children above the age range, they are welcome if you think they will enjoy the activity, generally, everyone is welcome.
Do adults have to stay on children's events?
All children on children's event must be accompanied by an adult or over 18.
How many adults do I need to bring on children's events?
Ratios: We require the following adult to child ratios, 1 adult to 3 children (Under 5’s will need more supervision on some activities)
Can I bring younger siblings to a children's event?
Younger siblings i.e. toddlers/babies are welcome at all the events, However please be mindful of the supervision of all children in your group and our ratios. Tickets are required for children undertaking activities only

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
How to make payment
Payment is taken on Eventbrite at the time of booking
Cancellation by you
You may cancel your booking via Eventbrite at any time. You will be entitled to a full refund (minus Eventbrite’s booking fees) up to 1 day before your activity.
Refunded tickets: Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consist of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won’t be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is cancelled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase.
Refunds for non-attendance by customers at events are not accepted
EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Services provided
We will provide the event in accordance with the description.
Cancelled and postponed events by us
(a) We reserve the right to cancel your event at any time due to events beyond our control (such as bad weather or staff shortages). In the unlikely event that we cancel your booking, we will offer an alternative date or provide you with a full refund (unless the reason for the cancellation is due to your breach of these terms & conditions) refunds will be for the entire purchase – that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.
(b) We will not be liable to pay you any compensation (other than refund of amounts paid by you) as a result of cancellation under any circumstances.
Safety and behaviour
(a) You are responsible for the children’s behaviour and safety at all times during the event.
(b) You are responsible for ensuring that the adult to child ratios
are met. If you do not bring enough adult helpers, we reserve the right to stop the activity and you will not be entitled to a refund.
Ratios: We require the following adult to child ratios, 1 adult to 3 children (Under 5’s will need more supervision on some activities)
(c) If we reasonably believe that anyone’s safety is being compromised during the event, we may stop the activity. If this happens, we will not refund any of the cost of the activity to you (unless the safety issue has arisen due to something that we have done or failed to do).
Parking and closure of the park
(a) Your booking does not include car parking, you will need to pay and display.
(b) Our parking machines take card payment only, they do not take apple pay or payment via mobile phones.
(c) Please look on the web site for opening and closing times of the park.
Changes to your booking
(a) You may not transfer your booking to another person
Complaints
If you have a complaint about your booking or the services provided by us, please contact us in the first instance (contact details above). If we are unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, we have a complaints handling process which is available on our website at: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/councilcomplaints. We can also provide a copy of the policy on request.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by English law, and you can bring legal proceedings in the English courts.

Time - Arrival from 0845 - 0855. Course starts at 0900. Course ends approx 1330. Please do not arrive before 0845.
Strictly no admittance to the course after 0900. If you arrive after this time you will not be allowed to join the course and will still be charged for the place. You will need to rebook on a later date.
Parking is not available on site. Blue badge holders should contact us prior to the course. Nearby car parks are listed below:
Harefield Road car Park, CV11 4HR is a 3-minute walk.
NCP Newdigate Street, CV11 4EU is a 7-minute walk
On arrival do not go to the front door of the fire station. We are based in the training and development centre, which is down Newtown Road (take the side road off the main Newtown Road, this is between pets at home and the fire station) and through the red gate, which is behind the fire station building.
There is a bell on the fence to the right of the red gate, under a cover. Ring the bell and it will alert staff in the training building. We will then come and open the gate for you, please note, it may take us a few minutes to get to the gate, so please only ring the bell once and then wait for us to arrive.
Please take care when walking through the yard as there may be vehicle movement or drill training. The training building is through the gate, past the garages and turn right at the end of the yard.
Trainer - Warwickshire Fire and Rescue
Breaks will be arranged by the trainer during the session. You will need to bring your own drink(s) with you and also a pen and paper.
Some of the assessment is carried out on a mannekin on the floor, so please advise us if this could be a problem for you. We cover several different topics of which some maybe of a sensitive nature to yourself e.g. CPR, choking. Please can you let us know in advance if this would cause you any distress, and we will contact you to discuss this prior to the da
ID - You are required to bring photographic ID and must show it to the trainer when signing in. Failure to bring ID will mean you will not be permitted to attend the course and will have to re-book. You will still be charged.
Communication - the course will be conducted in written and spoken English. Members of staff will be required to participate fully in the session.
Mobile Phones - Please switch all mobiles phones off or place on silent for the duration of the course.
Smoking - No smoking policy in place
*Cancellation reminder for all courses: WCC have a course policy that requires 7 days’ notice of changes or cancellation of any bookings made. Failure to provide 7 days’ notice will result in a charge of the full price of the course fee.
