Tape Letters Scotland is a social history project that highlights the practice within the Scottish-Pakistani community of recording and sending voice messages on cassette tape between the 1960s-1980s. The exhibition platforms the stories uncovered from cassette tapes and interviews from Edinburgh’s Pakistani community. This book brings together a selection of the hundreds of photos which were taken on these walks to tell the stories of people and places that make the story of our city special.
