The Bangkok International Trade &amp; Convention Centre (BITEC) is connected to Bang Na BTS station. We stopped by here around lunch time to grab food - there are food halls on the lower level and on the third floor (there&rsquo;s also Amazon Cafe, Starbucks, and 7-Eleven available). There happened to be a couple of trade shows taking place while we were there, so we were able to check out some of the exhibits.

Visiting the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha was a breathtaking experience. The intricate architecture, gilded details, and spiritual atmosphere reflect Thailand&rsquo;s rich history and royal heritage. The Emerald Buddha, though small, is deeply revered and beautifully displayed inside the temple. The space is well ventilated although the crowd and you get to sit and make a prayer or simply absorb the positive energy. I visited at 11:00am and the weather was very hot. Umbrella&rsquo;s are provided before entering the main complex however the scorching heat was still unbearable. The entire palace complex is immaculately maintained, with plenty of photo-worthy spots but I&rsquo;d personally spend more quality time in and around the Emerald Buddha temple. There is a row of shops right at the exit including a small 7 Eleven.

Chao Phraya River: The liquid dividing line between divinity and the secular world 

This turbid river has never really belonged to tourists. When the long-tail boat engine cuts through the water, the golden roof of the Grand Palace and the tin houses of the slums are broken together in the ripples, and you will understand the most authentic reflection of Bangkok. 

The Chao Phraya River in the daytime is a mobile market. Sand-carrying ships and water buses compete for the waterway in the sound of whistles, and the sampans of coconut vendors nimbly pass through. The porcelain spire of the Zhengwang Temple burns pupils under the scorching sun, and the fluorescent bracelet vendors at the Don Muang Pier are shouting prices in Chinese - the gods and merchants here share the same tide. 

After dusk falls, the river begins to show its spirit. The night lights of the temples on both sides gradually light up, and the neon signs cast colorful spells on the water. The tuk-tuk drags the light tail across the center of the river, like a string of floating ellipsis, and the whistle of the cargo ship in the distance resonates with the evening prayer bells. 

It is recommended to avoid sightseeing boats and jump on the orange public boats used by locals. When the salty water vapor mixed with the jasmine fragrance from the old woman&#39;s basket hits you, and when the teenagers in school uniforms take selfies at the bow of the boat, you will touch the true texture of the Chao Phraya River. This river does not need to be watched, it is only responsible for stirring the magic and reality of Bangkok into a suspension that never settles.

It feels OK, not big, but you can see some novel things, such as gardens. The experience of taking a glass boat is also good. If you have time, it is recommended to go. Children like to play here.

Tickets for Bangkok Safari Park are not expensive, but it is really worth the money. The animal variety inside is very complete. Here you can see all the animals you want to see. My favorite Kapibala and Flamingo are also here. There are also animal performances that are very good and worth visiting.

Ancient Siam: Deconstructed Thai Time and Space Puzzle

This open-air museum covering an area of ​​200 acres is actually a Thai memory map reproduced with cement. When a golf cart takes you past the miniature ruins of the Ayutthaya Dynasty and the Chiang Mai Buddhist temple, you will feel as if you are walking on an X-ray of national civilization.

The most shocking is the St. Pech Hall. This 1:3 replica of the sunken ancient temple was cast into concrete eternity. The craftsmen used sandblasting technology to fake the patina of time, and the cracks were accurate to millimeters. Even the moss used eternal moss specimens - the boundary between reality and fiction completely collapsed here. On the other side of the Fearless War Elephant Square, the eyes of the three giant elephant sculptures were transformed with car headlights, projecting a cyberpunk-like divinity when they light up at dusk.

It is recommended to rent a bicycle for a slow tour. When the wheels roll over the floor tile patterns of different provinces, when the shadows of trees dance on the fake stone carvings of the fake Angkor Wat, this country made up of models is more honest than the real attractions: all history is a reflection of the present, and all holy places are projections of desire. In the southwest corner with the least tourists, the old woman selling iced coconut in the antique market can speak English - this is the most real metaphor of the ancient city of Siam.
