Adcock Velodrome will host a record attempt day in West Gosford, NSW on May 4th, 2024. Participants can challenge themselves in the 1000m standing start, 200m flying start, and 4000m standing start events. The track at Garnet Adcock Memorial Park has been officially measured, and all times will be accurately recorded using professional automated bicycle transponders. World record attempts in various age and gender categories will be recognized. The event will kick off at 9 am with the 1000m standing start, followed by the 200m flying start and the 4000m standing start. The venue is suitable for unfaired record attempts. Riders must adhere to simple safety rules, wear helmets, have working brakes, and ensure their vehicles are solely human-powered and safe. Participants must be OzHPV members, with an affordable $25 annual membership fee. Juniors under 18 are welcome but require parental consent. For detailed competition rules and record attempt guidelines, refer to OzHPV and WRRA rules. Professional automated bicycle transponders will accurately time all events. Tickets are priced between $50 and $100.
