Experience an evening of artmaking at the Long Beach Museum of Art's oceanfront workshop space with teaching artist Thomas Pilnik. Delve into the profound nature of our hands, exploring their various states and capabilities. From being dry, calloused, and splintered to their tender and nurturing side, our hands are a gateway to express our creativity and overcome existential fears. In this unique mud-filled session, Pilnik will guide participants in the art of hand-building with clay, allowing them to construct ceramic avatars of their own hands.

During this engaging workshop, attendees will not only learn about Pilnik's artistic practice but will also get their hands dirty, learning hand-building basics while playing with clay. The highlight of the workshop is the opportunity to create a free-standing hand-built terracotta sculpture that embodies the essence of their hands. Once the sculptures are complete, Pilnik will personally glaze and fire them for participants to pick up at a later date.

This Artful Evening workshop welcomes participants aged 16 and above, fostering a sense of community and creativity. Regardless of your level of artistic experience, all are encouraged to join. All materials will be provided, and light refreshments will be available. The workshop fee includes admission to the museum on the day of the event.

The environment is good, there are many animals inside, and the popular science education is really good. For me, it is not time to rush. I can soak in it for a day. The garden inside must go. If you buy nectar, they will fly over automatically. It is recommended to go in and go to the middle to handcuff it. No, the old man will eat you all in one breath!

We were taking a carnival cruise port in LA. The Queen Mary was right next door. They JUST opened two months prior since COVID and were accepting guests. We had drinks at the bar, breakfast at the chowder hall and coffee on deck. the rooms were a bit dark without windows but the real deal and unique experience. Would def book there again!

Similar to Venice canals but looks nicer as you walk through the winter when some of the houses has Christmas lights up so you can see all the nice decorations as you scroll through the sidewalks on each side of the river to get that xmas spirit.
